Dr. Walter Long is a native of South Carolina, born and raised in Columbia. Dr. Long completed his undergraduate studies at Wofford College in 1996 with a B.S. in Biology. He received a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2000 where he also completed a one year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2001.

For his post-graduate studies, Dr. Long attended the University of Washington in Seattle for a two-year residency in the specialty of Endodontics. He has been in private practice in Charleston since 2003.

He and his wife, Julie, have three boys aged 20, 20, and 17. When Dr. Long is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and boating.
